A great sense of loss mixed with a passion to fight for a better future was present during Kamala Harris's concession speech at Howard University. Supporters cheered Harris on during her speech, and then comforted each other over a fear of the nation facing an uncertain future.

I spent an afternoon walking around the National Mall. To my surprise, the day of election seemed normal at this hour, contrary to the panic surrounding the election. The mall was mainly full of its regular tourists & folks resting in the grass.
I chatted with Kris from Initiative 83 who introduced me to their Trump piñata and proudly posed with a "grab him back by the p*ssy" imitation doll of the former president.
